Founded in 1970, Walden University provides accredited online bachelor's degrees and certificates in business, computer science, education, nursing and allied health, public administration and the humanities to students in all states and to students in over 100 countries. With an emphasis on global awareness, social responsibility and civic management, Walden's bachelor's degrees are continuation degrees designed for students 24 years and older that are transferring at least one year of college level work from another school. Walden University is a private university, headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and is owned by Laureate Education, Inc.
